Need a new closer AND a new manager

Showalter has proven that he will keep using a choker over and over and over. JJ and now Hunter. Until Buck is gone, the Orioles will never be a serious contender.

I just made a similar post in another thread but with the full knowledge that we have been a serious contender ever since Buck has got here. So even if his stubbornness will not allow him to make that change I believe we will still contend...somehow.

Point #2- You are a fool. Who should we get? Bring back Dave Trembley? Sam Perlozzo? Lee Mazilli? How many .500 seasons did they have? How many playoff series?

Ok so handling of the closer role is not Buck's strong point. But he is above average in almost all other aspects. We would still be a 5th place team without him.

In game stategery is a small part of a manger's job.

This is the crucial point here. Buck CANNOT go to Hunter anymore. He should only be mop up and other carefully selected places.

Hunter has to be the worst closer with 11 saves through 37 games in MLB history.

Hard for any closer to succeed when you throw fastballs with very little movement. All were very straight again tonight. Miggy looked like he knew the breaking ball was coming. What a shame.

Any chance we can merge the half-dozen (lol...) threads that have popped up calling for Hunter's ouster from the closer role?

Our hitters are not quality MLB hitters ...They cant work counts .... dont walk (Adam Jones the team leader)....And he's applauded and allowed to give advice to our rookie 2B.

Tommy isn't going anywhere, going to take a couple more blown saves. Same with the offense, players will not be moved in the order.
